                                ORDINANCE NO. 9663
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE
                   CONTINGENCY FUND THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND TWO
                   HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE AND NO/100 DOLLARS
                   ($33,295.00) TO THE CHATTANOOGA HOUSING
                   AUTHORITY TO BE USED TO MATCH A FEDERAL
                   YOUTH SPORTS GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
                   HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) IF SAID
                   GRANT IS APPROVED, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
                   TO ENTER AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CHATTANOOGA
                   HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF
                   PART OF THE PROGRAM.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby
       appropriated from the Contingency Fund $33,295.00 to the
       Chattanooga Housing Authority to be used to match a Federal Youth 

       Sports Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development 

       (HUD) if said grant is approved.
       	    	 SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the Mayor be
       and is hereby authorized to enter an agreement with the
       Chattanooga Housing Authority for the administration of part of
       the program.
       	    	 SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
       shall be effective two (2) weeks from and after its passage as
       provided by law.
